Red Tag Vehicles

RED TAG VEHICLES —

Marked down for a reason.

If you're looking for the Maverick experience you’ve heard about—high quality vehicles that we stand behind—our retail inventory is over here.

But if a low price is the most important thing, welcome to the Red-Tag Collection.

These are trade-ins that didn't make the cut—and most weren't even close. Too old, too many miles, rough shape cosmetically, leaks, check engine lights, non functioning options, or a fun combination of any of these.

We've checked them for safety, but that's it. They start, stop and steer, most of the time. They probably have issues. Some you'll spot and can live with. Others might surprise you. They could last for years. They could break down tomorrow. We strongly encourage you to take them to your own mechanic before you buy.

The price reflects what we know. Budget for what we don't.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly are these vehicles?

These are trade-ins that didn't make the cut for our inventory. Rather than sending them straight to auction, we're offering them here first for a limited time—at prices that reflect what they are. No reconditioning, no deep inspection, no illusions.

Why do you sell these cars?

We used to send these straight to auction. But we kept seeing them turn up on other dealer lots shortly after—too soon to have been properly serviced, but likely not disclosed as such. That didn't sit right with us. If someone was going to end up with them just the way they were anyway, we figured we would do a better job disclosing how much work they might really need.

So here they are—fix them up, drive them as-is, or flip them yourself. There's a real need in our community for inexpensive vehicles, and this is our way of filling it without pretending these are something they're not. Just don't spend your last dollars on one of these. You should have plenty left over for repairs that might be needed right away or down the road.

What have you checked on these?

Safety. That's it. They start, stop, and drive under their own power—most of the time. Beyond that, you're working with what you can see and what your mechanic finds.

Should I have it inspected before I buy?

Yes. In fact, if you don't do your own mechanical work, we almost require an outside mechanical inspection. Find an independent shop, have them look it over, and understand that there may still be issues that they don't see, or that could arise shortly after driving them.

Are these reliable?

Maybe, at best. They could run great for years. They could need significant work right away. That's the trade-off for the price.

What if something breaks after I buy it?

That's the trade-off for the price. If something breaks, big or small, it's 100% yours to fix. These are sold with zero warranties, and the only guarantee is that sooner or later it will have problems to fix. For your sake we hope it's later, but don't count on it.

Can I finance one?

Maybe. Financing is available on approved credit. Some cars are much more difficult to finance than others. Ask us when you come in and we'll see how we can help.

Can I trade in my current vehicle?

Yes. Bring it in and we'll take a look.
