"What an incredible experience - Having sold a few cars over the years by way of Craigslist and Classified ads, Vehicle Consignment at Maverick was the slickest way I have ever sold a car! We knew the owner of Maverick personally and he has a reputation for being an extremely honest and fair person. So, we asked him for help. He said, he would take the car on car consignment for us. He agreed to clean it up, make the repairs it needed, get it ready to sell and consign it at his dealership. He agreed to get us the price we wanted, and then told us what he would try to sell it for, so we could see what he would make. He also agreed to repair it for us and just factor that into the pricing. Everything was very transparent. If it wasn't selling, we would know and we could ask him to lower the price at any point.
So, we dropped the car off. He made all of the repairs at a fraction of the cost and we didn't have to come up with any cash. This allowed us to sell it for more. We stopped by the lot and looked at our van; it looked great after they got done with it and everything was fixed. He let us know as people took it for test drives, and gave us feedback. He worked as a partner with us in selling it. It was great.
The next thing we knew, we had a check in the mail for the amount we had agreed to. It was a painless experience. It was the perfect way to leverage a car dealership's ability to sell used cars and get the price I would expect by selling it on my own. I don't think I'll ever sell a used car any other way!"
